A random shoot into the water and still fish everywhere |
Hua Hin is where the Royal
Summer Residence of the king is, a quiet busy cities just three hours
from Bangkok. From Koh Phangan to Hua Hin it took us about 13 hours
to get there by boat and bus. We joined my uncles family who had
stayed the three days before in Hua Hin already. Hua Hin was all
different again. Houses until close to the water and a big main road
behind. Still it was a quiet nice place and the hotel my uncle
invited me to was the nicest thing I ever slept in during my time in
Asia.
One day we drove on the back of a pick-up truck to the Plua-U Waterfall which lays in a national park about 60 km from the coast and instead of the coastal regions which are all bone-dry, it still had water and lush green trees. The waterfall consisted of many different small waterfalls, some of them more like a creek going down some rocks but in between pools deep enough to swim and jump in.
We climbed up to the fifth stage where most of the other tourists where left behind and just a Thai-Family with their small daughter was there except of us.
The pools are just packed with fish that are feed by tourists and therefore when I jumped in I hit a couple of fish and when you stand in the water small fish nibble the dead skin from your feet.
After some time we spotted monkeys in the trees that later came closer and tried to snitch the Thai-Families food away. Suddenly we were surrounded by monkeys, I guess about 25 individuals, but all peaceful because all food was packed in the bags so they couldn't see or smell it.
On the way back it a real tropical thunderstorm started with pouring rain which got us completely wet but not cold because of the rain temperature of 25 degrees.
It was really nice to be with family again after almost eight month, and to see my cousins.
